Mission: Possible - Reducing the Impact of Substance Abuse and Mental Illness in Our Communities
This year's Mission: Possible workshop was held in July at the Hilton Garden Inn - Downtown Sioux Falls. This annual event is designed for medical and behavioral health professionals, community leaders, students, educators, school administrators, and more. CMEs and CEUs will be offered to qualifying attendees. Watch for more information about this free, in-person event! The 2026 workshop is already in the planning stages. Please check back for more information.
To address ongoing health care issues and inequities facing rural South Dakotans, the Rural Health Equity Summit (RHES) would normally be held in September 2025 at the WDT Event Center in Rapid City (800 Mickelson Dr.), but a different summit is in the planning stages. Please check back for more information. Previously, the summit brought together healthcare professionals, policymakers, advocates, community leaders, and other stakeholders committed to improving health equity in rural South Dakota. The event featured keynote speakers, informational sessions, and networking opportunities designed to foster collaboration and share innovative solutions to the unique health challenges faced by our rural communities.
